“Teen Summit” is a Peer-to-Peer Mediators program which provides a platform for Young people to Discuss Issues and Concerns of the Community in which they live, between themselves, under the Leadership of a Teen Committee with the assistance of Passionate Adult Supervision. The Teen Committee will consist of 5 members elected by their Peers.  The program is open to Teenagers between the ages of 13-18, who reside within a Community where SYO operates. The goals of “Teen Summit” are for the young people of a community to Develop Communication Skills in an Open Forum, Learn to Resolve Problems and Concerns in a Positive Manner, Raise Awareness on Current Events & Topics of Interest and how to Deal with Constructive Criticism. By being involved in “Teen Summit“, a Young person could Discover a Passion for Communication and/or Social Service.
